COLD WEATHER

I like this cooler weather because:  I'm not melting like I was this summer, my girls can go outside and not melt like they did this summer, my hair looks better than it did this summer, etc., etc........

I don't like this cooler weather because:  I have to wear shoes, when I'd rather go without; I have to wear a coat; I don't want to get out of bed in the morning, etc., etc........

There are always two sides to every coin.

A Happy Home

During breakfast this morning, Sydney asked me, "why'd you get this house?" and I replied, "Daddy and I bought this house before you or Scout were born" and Sydney's reply to that was, "you fixed it? now it's happy".  Out of the mouths of babes.

A New Day

This is the first day of blogging for me!  I tried it a few years ago and couldn't keep up with it and an infant, but now things have changed - not necessarily slowed down - but changed enough that I have a few moments each day that are my own.  Some things I love to write about:  my family, food, gardening and living green.  I also adore bargain shopping and movies (isn't Netflix fantastic?).  I love to read:  the Bible, anything James Patterson or Jodi Piccoult and I recently read "The Help" and it is now on my list of favorite books of all time!  By the way, my list includes:  To Kill a Mockingbird, The Partner, Where the Heart Is, One More Time (Carol Burnett's memoir) and Passion and Purity.  And right now I'm standing here blogging when I should be cleaning house, so I'm off for today.
